Here is one of the "Blue Moon" a few nights later. (Also in Newport Beach, CA) I had a hard time with this one. We had a light cloud layer that kept obstructing the moon. I also had a difficult time with the shutter and aperture, not to mention it's also hand-held. Stupid me packed everything...

Well, after about 6 miles of walking around town and looking for something to fit this challenge, The strangest thing I came up with was just a few feet from home. My rather odd neighbor has placed no less than a dozen "guard chickens" around his property. Disturbing, to say the least.

Every time I got closer, he would.... buzz off.

Living in the foothills of Southern California, I have very little that is anywhere close to flat. So, the flattest thing that I could come up with is a glass hard disk platter. This is a 250G Seagate.
