Orion's belt.

This is my first shot with my new 200mm lens. Not much to look at but here it is anyhow. Orions belt. I got some great views of Orion the other night and wanted to take the dagger nebula but was not in a dark enough area.

when I take my lens off and hook it to the back of a telescope I get a "lens no attached" error and it won't let me fire the shutter. Anyone no how to get around this? Thanks

I'm looking for one of these for my D5200 to do astrophotography with. I'm looking on Ebay where there is a proliferation of these lenses. They're still not cheap but I'm wondering why there are so many for sale. Also, how can you tell the older ones from the newer, the AF with in the lens...
