Common Mergansers this morning.

Just looked at one of my D500s, and the same "Gap" is there, although it's not really a gap since the area is completely sealed. I think it just provides room for the spring mechanism to function properly.

I have zillions of Sandhill Crane shots. I'm gonna' post a bunch, 'cause, I mean, what else would I do. with them? :)
