I recently sold this lens on ebay and the buyer said she got an EE message on her D7000. Any idea whether she had something not set up properly? I agreed to refund her money, got the lens back, slapped it on my D7100 and it worked fine.

I usually figure this out after an important shoot! Anyone else have this problem?

Current camera is a D7100. I'm looking to upgrade to FF in the next year or so. I know quality glass is important. Is the above lens a good lens compared the the much more expensive Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Nikkor Wide Angle Zoom Lens or should I just save my pennies for the real deal?

I was working on some star trails and did this one of the highway near my house. I used Startrails application for the startrails and then tried it on the car trail shots and it came out pretty good!
