Alright here is probably the biggest reason to get this camera, "Continuous Focusing" for video mode. Nikon is the first to do it. I have a D300s and have yet to use my video mode but for those who use it this would be a reason to get one. Still not comparable to the D300s for professional use...

Well I have a D300s, D300 and D80. The D80 is going away and I am upgrading with a new D700. So now the new D700 and the D300s will be my work cameras while the D300 will take the place of my D80 as my carry around camera. Zak
