While on an Alaskan Cruise (September 2012) we were able to take in Hubbard Glacier. Our captain was amazing and was able to approach closer than he had in years. As we neared the glacier I spotted this large berg that had, at some point, been calved. For some reason I just had to take the shot...

I saw this at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel when my wife and I stayed there. I bet the valets fought over this one. Shot with my D40. I had some difficulty with the lighting on this one as it was overcast with low cloud cover.
