Wandering along a Texas FM (Farm-to-Market) back road over the weekend, I came across this critter...not exactly an everyday sight.

Nice image with one of my favorite lenses. :)

Northern Shovelers

Thought it was a bee when I took the shot. Now I think it's actually a hoverfly.

1971 Camaro (base model I think) with a V8. Young fellow and his wife told me that it originally belonged to his Dad.

Same fellow at a different spot in town.

This picture reminded me of those times years ago when the Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter to which I belonged did an annual ride through the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. In good years, it was a breathtaking sight. I never took a single picture...shame on me!

UPDATE: Well the icy storms subsided and the roads were clear so Sunday I wandered over to a local lake to see what kind of BIF shots I could get with the RX10 IV. Ducks, cormorants, coots, and geese were plentiful but the only flyers I saw were gulls. Here are some camera JPGs that, like those...
