I post a lot of pictures of Herons and Egrets catching fish because I spend hours and hours watching them hunt. It is truly fascinating to me. Here we have a Snowy Egret taking an approach from the side to snag a minnow.

Great Egret making itself big and mean looking to chase a young Snowy Egret off of his/her island.

After standing in the same place and same position for about a half hour, this Great Egret needed a good stretch
