Dragon Fly
I think this photo sells me on the idea of using a ring flash compared to a ring light. I used ISO 100 for this one... I may even look at the directional flashes that you can get.
Here is my "Gotcha" photo, after the one above I saw the potential and went back out and re-shot this little guy. I adjusted the settings so that I was using a lower ISO with faster shutter speed.
Unfortunately he had moved up the leaf...
This is the view my bugs get when I am shooting them in macro with my 90mm.
Although with their multiple eyes you may want to multiply it by 8 or so lol
Ok this looks like a mean arse Grasshopper of some sort, was lucky to get this shot as its gotten a bit windy. The flash and faster shutter speed plus ISO 6400 saved me. Getting focus was a pain though.
Also I hope you do not mind them being upside down but thats how I found it.

Please share your thoughts regarding this photo, this is the little bugger that was in the tree hollow before, he is very skittish. I have tried to make him stand out while also showing his surrounds.
