Welcome. Sure you can. While it's by far from a stellar lens; it's still capable of capturing some pretty good shots. The kit 55-200 is too soft for my tastes at full focal length, but given the right conditions is more than adequate.

OMG, what a day. Lots of "not fun" things to deal with at the office and an afternoon at the docs made for all of 5 mins for shooting today. Only managed a couple horrible shots at the eagle tree on my way through town.
