Great B&W. We have neither mountains nor snow here. Well, maybe once every 10 years or so. That's for the snow, not the mountains.

The Pup and I have put together a calendar featuring some of this year's work from both of us. We were thinking about printing about 10 of them for friends and family. We aren't necessarily doing this for Christmas, but more as a fun project, but would probably be looking to get them out either...

I do a lot of macro work. I use flash for the majority of it. I use a different setup, a normal shoe mounted flash with a macro diffuser, but the concepts are the same. My guess from your description, is that you are using a large aperture. You will probably need to stop down to F/11 or F/16...

Many photographers prefer the "exposure preview" that an EVF gives. It took me a couple weeks to get used to the EVF vs the traditional optical viewfinder. Once I did, I didn't want to go back. I now consider this one of the major strengths of mirrorless. Of course, we all have our own shooting...

I shoot this way. I have my RAW files on the primary card, my newer cameras have CFexpress in the first slot. I have it set to save JPEG in the secondary slot, SD cards. The JPG gives me an easy backup in case something happens to the RAW files. I have yet to need the backup JPEGs, but I started...

Set image quality to NEF(RAW)+ JEPG fine. Then back out and go up to "Role played by card in Slot 2". There should be 3 options. The third is "RAW slot 1-JPEG Slot 2". Select this and you should be good to go.

I don't do a lot of panoramas. When I do, it depends on the subject as to whether I stitch verticals or horizontals. I will sometimes crop a single image to an aspect ratio that resembles a panorama, when I feel the subject demands that type of crop. This image comes to mind. I shot a single...
