    Who'd a-thunk it? 8GB too small.

A year ago, I had 8GB memory cards in all my cameras. I used to chuckle at the thought I'd ever need more than 8GB. When I saw slots for memory card storage in camera bags, I thought "What a gimmick." Well, that was last year. This week, I actually filled an 8GB card. Admittedly, I was...

You have an opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime historical photo shot....

Would you set your camera on AUTO, or would you use a programmed or manual setting? One opportunity. One shot. Never to be seen or duplicated again.

Look at the spot on this photo....

I shot this today. Notice the spot at the top of the door. Would a lens hood have prevented this? This only occurred on this photo.

    My Cleveland Project

I took some photos approximately a year ago. I had already "processed" the ones I thought were best. It's a rainy day today, and I had no new photos to work on, so I went back to the old file. I decided to practice the skills I learned on this site. There are 9 photos. Enjoy. Bridge to the City

I'm not a fan of Live View

I have used Live View and the results don't appear to be as good as just using the view finder. The biggest advantage to Live View appears to be in videography and the occasional contorted shot that doesn't allow the use of the view finder. I'm glad it is an option, but I won't be using it for...

    How'd he do it?

This is NOT my photo. How was it processed to put the figure behind the cage mesh? Or the deer? If you know, I'd appreciate the tip. Thanks.

What happened to the Weekly Photo Challenge?

Until this week, it appeared to be managed in a timely manner. Are we to assume it will no longer be a feature?

Glass Screen Protector for D5100... who's got 'em?

I tried a 3" glass protector, but it was too small. I believe I need a 3.5" size, but I can't find one.

    TedG954's Project 365 & Daily Photos

Here's my first entry to this thread. It's far from being a "photograph" in the common sense. This will be typical of many of my posts, while other posts will be more traditional. Much of what will be seen is the result of what I've learned from others on this site. Thanks.
