I picked up a Tamron 70-300mm 4-5.6 VC USD lens last weekend. Really happy with it so far. Here's a couple of early shots with it. Contrast up slightly, no other editing on this Jpeg. Straight from the camera, not the best but still quite sharp. I'm really happy with this lens so far...

Went for a nice walk this evening with my spaniel Jasper.

I was messing about with a poppy close up and it caught on fire! Thought it was quite cool but not at all what I was going for. Here's another poppy coming out to play.

WeeHector is this also a Scorpionfly? I don't like how this looks using the flash, without it the few other shots I took were quite blurry. They're weird beasts!

This was never going to be the crispest of shots because it was beyond the reach of my lens but I'd still have loved to have got the focus on its head with the water droplets and reflection.

Having bought my first DSLR a couple of weeks ago, I bought "my" first film SLR today, a F80/N80. It's not really mine as it is for my wife. At £59 I hope it was a steal and my wife will enjoy using it!
