    A Short Guide to Watermarks

I had mine professionally done at https://photologo.co/ It cost about $40 but I got two low resolution files for smaller images and two high resolution files for larger images, each in both black and white. They are PNG files and can be cut and pasted easily in PS. I didn't particularly like...

If you guys have not heard about this program, I suggest you check it out. It has a sky replacement tool that is absolutely amazing! The sky in the original image was not bad but not spectacular. With essentially 1 click of the mouse, Luminar transforms it into an amazing sunset. Depending on...

Anyone ever used one of these?

They could come in very handy for studio work as I could mount both my Godox controller and wireless remote shutter on the D850 My only concern is whether having two units on the same hot shoe contact might do something weird to the voltage and possibly damage the camera. Any thoughts...

    Post your Sunrises

I thought today was going to be a wash at 6am when it appeared to be a solid overcast but I went anyway. Fortuitously, there was a hole in the clouds right where the sun was coming up. It took an 8x ND and a 16x grad ND to pull off 8 seconds @ f/11 at ISO 32. D850 and 35-70mm f/3.5 AIS Nikkor

    Pawleys Island Beach Sunrise

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I got up before the sun and went out to the beach, about a 5 minute drive and set up for some sunrise images. I used a 1º Spotmeter to get my starting exposure. I knew I would need at least a 16x graduated ND filter to hold the sky because I wanted to use a long...
