    General Architecture and Structure Parts

Sunday I ate dinner at the Langhorne Hotel for the first and last time. Sadly this historic building is slated to be sold (although not sure to whom). Since I've been enjoying photographing historic buildings this year, I went on Wednesday and took a few photos. But the sky wasn't as nice as I'd...

    Tether Tools Cable for D750

Not one that is a right angle. I might wind up getting the Tether Tools one. But before I do, I'm looking at clamps. There is a way to clamp the cable to keep it from getting pulled out of the camera.

Post your favorite June 2026 shot(s)

I really liked the perspective of this one shot with an ultra wide angle lens. Tried to use perspective distortion to my advantage.

    Tether Tools Cable for D750

Thanks. I will look into this more tomorrow sine it's already after midnight here. I'm looking for a USB-C connector so maybe they will have what I need.

    Photography through a chain-link fence

I've shot through chain link fences before with telephoto lenses but never thought about using a slow shutter speed. Great info! Thanks for sharing it.

    Tether Tools Cable for D750

For where it connects to the camera body. I've heard the right angle ones tend to last longer and don't cause some of the issues created by the straight plug-ends.

    Tether Tools Cable for D750

Thanks, @BF Hammer. Yesterday I sent an email to Tether Tools expecting it would take a while for them to respond. But surprisingly they got back to me today. And like you said, they don't offer a right angle cord at this time. My iPad Pro has the USB-C port on it which is why I'd want that...

What's gone wrong with my owl?

I had tennis elbow surgery in 2009 and two rotator cuff surgeries on my right shoulder in 2023. I always use VR no matter what my shutter speed because it works for my shooting style (I have trouble holding the camera really steady). But do some testing and find out what works for you. Usually...

    Tether Tools Cable for D750

I want to be sure this is the correct cable for attaching a D750 to an iPad Pro 13 M5 (USB-C port). But is there a right angle option made by Tether Tools? This is the only thing that came up. https://tethertools.com/product/tetherpro-usb-c-to-2-0-mini-b-8-pin/

Yep. Been there, too, and also have the t-shirt!

What's gone wrong with my owl?

Are you using AF-C? If so, depending on the camera's settings, the image DOESN'T need to be in focus for the shutter to fire when in AF-C. So the camera might not have achieved focus when this was shot. If this is why, then you'd want to check your settings for AF-C Priority Selection. Here's a...

    Advice please upgrade for birds

I tried the Nikon 200-500mm zoom but found it to be too heavy. So I simply use my D500 with my 300mm PF and a 1.4x TC. That makes it a constant f/5.6 aperture and autofocuses reasonably fast. I believe the combo yields a field of view of 440mm. The photos are sharp, and the combo is certainly...

How to Turn Off Auto ISO on D500

*face palm* :p Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote this. The rear dial changes the ISO value. But it IS the front dial that toggles it on and off. So thank you! I think it's because the ISO button is located in a different place on the D500 than it is on my D750. The thing is when I use...

How to Turn Off Auto ISO on D500

Is there an easier way to turn off Auto ISO on a D500 beside navigating through the Menu system? When I press the ISO button and rotate the front dial, it goes through all the ISO variables except for Auto ISO. There's got to be an easier way, isn't there? I did a YouTube check but couldn't find...

    General Architecture and Structure Parts

After sharing the above photos on Facebook with several people saying it used to be a former Post Office, I returned to the area and took a photo of the actual former Post Office. It sits next door to the above building.

This afternoon I came across this beautiful stonework building. Not sure what it is but most likely is a commercial building.
