    Who does Real Estate photography?

Here are a couple of images taken with a preowned Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. I only had a short amount of time to be out shooting today so unfortunately I couldn't find any really nice architectural subjects for experimenting. Even when choosing the lens profile in Camera RAW, there was very...

    Struggling with white balance

I looked at your original image in Camera RAW. Take a look at the two red circles on the upper right. The white triangle on the left indicates your blacks are clipped. That means you have lost detail in those areas. Now look at the photo. The blue areas that are circled represent the blacks that...

    Who does Real Estate photography?

I'm interested in learning more about Real Estate photography. Obviously a wide angle lens is required as well as a tripod - I have the Nikon 14mm f/2.8 and the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G lenses and a tripod but am considering the Nikon 16-35mm f/4 instead of my other wide angle zoom. Any...

    Nikon 300mm f4 AF

If it is the first AF 300mm f/4 lens, I tried one. It's extremely sharp but is slower to focus than the two versions that came after it. It isn't compatible with a Nikon TC although it's possible an aftermarket TC might work. I think it has some type of drop-in rear filter.

    Post your Birds in Flight

And @wev you should be able to go here and navigate slowly though some of the subforums. The main link, the What's New tab, and other hyperlinks simply aren't working properly. https://nikonites.com/nikonites/#axzz6mJBh1LAl Or you can go here and scroll WAY down until you come to the main...

    hark 2021

I shot at f/22 to capture detail in the sun's rays as well as depth of field. Little did I know my sensor was dirty - actually that's an understatement! The right side of the image had more spots than I've ever seen on a sensor. :beguiled:

    Roy's 365 for 2021

Roy, did you upload these using the Insert Image feature, or did you upload them to the gallery to share? The reason I'm asking is because the EXIF is definitely there but isn't being displayed in the original posts. And what size are you using for the long side? All of these are 999px - but...

    hark 2021

These are from Saturday, January 30th before this snow storm rolled through. We've had snow for about 2 days now. Frozen surf from a local lake. Canada Goose. When I posted on Facebook, I labeled this as a Canadian Goose. I was corrected by a Canadian friend that these are a Canada Goose. :)

Congratulations, @nikonpup - definitely a compelling vantage point for this challenge. :cheerful:

    Macro adventure begins

I took the liberty of downloading your photo and opened it in Camera RAW (same tools as Lightroom). Take a look at your histogram. That area inside the red circle shows you have a great deal of room to increase your whites which will raise your exposure. If you look on the panel, there is a...

    Macro adventure begins

For best results, a 4-way focusing rail will yield better images. Those allow you to focus right to left as well as front to back. I believe they also make 2-way rails if cost is a factor. This Cowboy Studio 4-way rail has been recommended by members here. The one I have is made by Oben but is...

This maybe my first new lens and would like an opinion

Here are a couple posts that might be helpful for you. @Marcel mentioned using a close up filter here. Maybe he can weigh in on how his works and any pros/cons with using one. Marcel, does the AF work when using your close up filter? The following quote comes from this thread. And here is an...

    Image insert

Not able to upload more than one when using Chrome. The option to 'allow' flash is no longer present with Chrome. :( So I switched to Firefox. I had to click on a prompt that asked if I wanted to run an outdated version of Flash that would probably affect performance. That's the only way I could...

Rookie photog looking for advice from fanatics

Hi and welcome. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any member who has both a z6 and a D750. @Danno has the z6 along with a D700 so hopefully he can help shed some light on your questions. I have a D750 which is an absolutely amazing camera. One of its benefits is having 2 card slots...

    Portable Hard Drives

Question for those who back up files onto a hard drive - do you leave the hard drive attached to the computer, or do you remove it every time you are finished backing up? In the past I've used smaller portable drives but now have a 5TB drive (and know I should still back up to multiple devices)...

Any opinions on Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 vs 70-300mm f/4-5.6 ED?

I have this lens, BF Hammer. It is quite sharp. Not only were the first and last images taken at 200mm, all of these images were heavily cropped from the originals - and all taken with a D750. As with any lens, there are going to be slight differences in how one performs vs. an identical copy...

B&H has the Sirui W-1004 Waterproof Aluminum Tripod on sale today only - $99.99. Has a decent load capacity at 33 pounds (15kg). No firsthand experience with this although I have one of their carbon fiber monopods which is nice...
