Love to play with the sky. It can change everything. If I can get clouds in a picture, I can really have fun.

Clouds can really make a picture and also give you a lot more to be creative with.. This time of year, ours are usually eaither NONE or total gray! Guess that is why they call it Winter! You have done a great job with yours...

I have not posted any HDR's here in a while ... yesterday was out trying to catch some action shots at the skate board park and picked 2 nearby spots...

The first... on my out from the Skateboard park... decided to try this one... 3 exposure through Photomatix

Hope everyone enjoys...

Hope our weather shows you a good time. I'll be going up to the thumb for Thanksgiving, To Daughters.

I am just hoping that I do not have to drive in snow... Staying in Plymouth, Thursday family dinner in Livonia with my brother and sister and their kids.. Friday to the sone in Pinckey and Saturday to the daughters in South Lyon.. It is always enjoyable.. just too short. Enjoy your time in the thumb area.

Finally bit the bullet and decided to download HDR Efex Pro 2 after seeing a demo. I had been using the Enfuse plugin with LR 3 with disappointing results prior to that. Here are a couple of the first images I did. The first two were shot 2 days after Sandy ripped through my town in Northwest NJ - great clouds those days, and there wasn't much else to do waitiing for power. The third was taken this past Saturday after it became evident that the sun wasn't coming in quietly. All are 3 shot, 2 stop bracketed exposures, with the first two being handheld.

Gotta say, the software is real easy to use, and quite effective on single exposures. Now I have to drag a tripod with me everywhere. LOL

Great shots! The first one looks spooky in B/W.

Thanks, everyone. My wife thought it was spooky looking as well. It's actually a beautiful old house in Washington, NJ (Warren County). Here's the camera-exposed, unedited frame from the exposure series.
