I was surprised to see this one sitting in the water.

They always fly the other way.

At least it gave me some nice wings!

My friend texted me (she was on the other side of the pond) and said the otters were headed my way. I was surprised when they came out of the water this close to me. I had to back up. They were way to close!! Too many blurry shots.

After Peaceful Waters we stopped Bedner's Farm. As I got out of the car, I saw something fly into one of the trees. I walked about 5 parking spaces and saw a Red Shouldered Hawk eating something. I ran back to the car and told my friend to unlock the car and grab her camera. I didn't grab my hat and was shooting blindly towards the sun. I could see it was eating something.

The focus point is on the beak, but it's a tad blurry.

I didn't see the branch otherwise I would have moved one way or the other.

When I did slowly move to my left without looking at the hawk, it took off.

I did try to remove the branch, but my software (whatever came with my computer), also removed the yellow above the beak.

Tuesday at Green Cay

There are two separate gator nests with babies. This is mom. We couldn't find the little ones anywhere.

We couldn't find the other nesting area either.
