It's a Brown Basilisk (aka Jesus Lizard). It can run across the top of water.

This one is a male, it has a crown or crest on top of its head.

There were two Great Egret hatchlings on Monday, only one today

That would be a great shot, but I can't even get a good shot of one running across the boardwalk on its hind legs!!

It was the first time I had it all to myself, no other photographers or cellphones. There's only one spot where the leaf doesn't block the hatchling.
