Buying OEM EN-EL12 and EN-EL14a batteries in 2026?

I have done a little research and I believe:

The first camera to use the EN-EL12 was the Coolpix S610 in 2008 and the last cameras were the Coolpix A1000 and Coolpix B600 in 2019.

The first cameras to use the EN-EL14a were the D5300 and Coolpix P7800 in 2013 and the last camera was the D3500 in 2018.

As these are quite old, I am struggling to find new OEM batteries for my AW130 (2015 / EN-EL12) and D3300 (2014 / EN-EL14a).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

This DPReview topic suggests third-party batteries can swell and potentially have lower battery life, so I would eather go the OEM route.

You may be out of luck. You might calling some local shops, see if they have any. If that fails you may have to go with an aftermarket. There are some threads here about people having good luck with some aftermarket ones. Maybe check brands larger online camera stores carry.

I am not afraid of Wasabi Power batteries. The only problem I have had was older pre-mirrorless en-el15 being rejected in a Z-mount body. They do update their chips in new batteries as that happens.
