Part for Z6III

Part fell off Z6III yesterday. Looked on Nikon's website and only numbers, no description. Called and they want me to send it in. I think it is a part that commonly falls off.

Looking at the back it is lower right side just below memory card door. Rectangular.

Found at other places but they want $47 for it. Rubber parts, if that's what it is, are under $10 from Nikon.

Does anyone know the part number?

Look up Nikon repair guide Z6III.

But check out the guide for yourself.

Thank you. I looked on Nikon USA (parts.nikonusa.com) entered that part number and they don’t show it. I Googled it and yes that's the right number. Hummmm....wonder what is up with Nikon parts?

Probably only comes as a kit with all the soft pieces.

Did you loose it looks like some good double stick tape could fix it.

I bought 3 of them at the end of December 2025 from the Nikon parts store. They had been listed, but out of stock earlier that month. It's strange that the part has disappeared from the store. I got extras, since the item was around $4 or $5 and the shipping for it was $7 or $9, I forget. So that shipping cost was spread out over all three.

I wonder if they are redesigning the item? but the tabs still would need to fit. The one I got was a perfect fit and easy to install, with it's double faced tape precision cut and applied to the rubber already.

Perhaps you could PM ckqualls and get him one, while they come back available... Then he could return the favour to you, when he eventually gets them... What you reckon?

@ckqualls This was the cheapest I could find...

That's $20 in USD and free delivery...
