Tried my hand at some soap bubble macro. Not as easy as it looks. I need to change my lighting setup and work on DOF.

Went over to Cypress Gardens this morning to check out what the wood ducks were doing. I'm going to try hard and get some good ducks in flight images this year.

This is my first attempt. Not the best, but it's a start.

I did get a decent shot of one in the trees.

And this yellow rumped warbler was taunting me. At least, I think it was a yellow rumped warbler. It definitely was taunting me.

Thanks. I was hoping for something from either the front or the side, but the year is still young. I hadn't had any chances for any airborne duck shots all morning. I was walking the trail back to the parking lot when a pair of woodies around the corner spooked. I just had time to throw the camera to my eye and grab the shutter button. I should have had a 1/2000 or 1/3000 set while walking around. I had it on 1/1000, and fortunately, it was fast enough. The Z8 did a good job of locking on and tracking. I got a dozen shots, all sharp. Unfortunately, most were not worth editing. Only the one above, and this one of him landing. If this were an airplane, this would properly be called a ditching.
