I got one of those slide adapters that you can attach to your lens and copy slides right onto your camera
It is more fussy then I thought,, I am still experimenting with what lens and setup works, so far so so,, found
a 50mm old manual seems best so far on my D800.. I was using a white background from my computer,, but
I think a tripod with direct light might be best,, and dial it in... Once set up,, should be fast,,, but have not yet done

here is an ancient quick scan I did.

I converted to BW in CS,, but the scan seems to be decent, I did not pick the best first picture,, I just
randomly grabbed a slide out of a box,, I think is like 32 years old or so..
