Tuesday,, by the time I got out to chase a shot, I was racing the Sun as it made its Journey,, course,, I guess I was really racing the rotation of the Earth, amazing how fast we rotate,, because sure enough, I lost the race to the destination, before the sun was below the ridge line, I had checked the sunset time, but then did not take into account that they don't consider the ridge line, so was 10 minutes off.
I kinda like this shot where an artist left behind for people to admire (or buy maybe?) a scene,,
now if you notice,, the artist exaggerates the ridge line for a more dramatic painting, you can see the small hump in front of the ridge line, but then the ridge line is made to look like it laso has two peaks, there are two subtle peaks, but nothing like in the painting.
laughs, of course, I have been known to pull the ridge lines up a lit too,, for the same reason, I should make a version and match the artist painting, to see how it looks, maybe, I'll post it in this entry.
