Today I sadly bid farewell to my Photo Buddy and also my portrait on this site. He has been a faithful sidekick,, on many a photo adventure whether enjoying endless miles driving around looking for light and subject, or hiking backcountry and fording rivers. Photography is often hours out on your own (let's face it watching a photographer wait for perfect light, or spend 20 minutes setting up a shot is not exciting for others,, but not for him, he was happy to tag along. So,, I will sorely miss him by my side.

Sorry for your loss. I'm really a cat person and have had many over the years but losing what is the best friend in your life, more so than family or human friends, is a terrible blow. At least you have your fantastic memories and, no doubt, many fabulous photos to keep him alive in your heart.

I can totally empathize. I have both cats and dogs, and it is always upsetting to lose one. They become such a part of our lives.
