Grey day

When to Tuscaloosa for a couple of days to visit my mom and get her out of the hospital and into rehab for a few weeks to get over a back injury. She is 86 so that is always hard to get over any injury.

Was hoping to shoot some great spots while I was there but is was very cold and overcast the entire two days. It even snowed on me on the way home today. I bet I saw several hundred snowflakes over a two hour period.

Did go to the dam to see the flooding damage from all the recent rains. This is a dam that I grew up next to. Dam, golf course and then my house. We could hear the water from our house. Was kind of nice. Water had gone down a lot but was still about 20 feet above average. In this picture the log is about 30 feet above the water now and about 40 to 50 feet above average.

Hope your mom gets better soon.
I really like that shot. Makes me wonder how that log managed to get imbedded under that railing without damaging any of it.

If you look close you will see the joints next to it are all broken. The lower sections of the steps were all destroyed. Lots of it missing completely. The bottom section of the steps were still underwater.
