Teaching photoshop last night I took a moment to photograph the old typewriter strikers.

Spent the evening doing a crash course teaching Yodaman how to do a shoot with studio strobes. We used my throwaway strobes, a Paris themed shower curtain as a backdrop, and a whole bunch of school kids looking to have a bit of fun. The backdrop had serious creases, the lights needed a bit more power, but in the end so what. We had fun and Yodaman learned a lot.

On my way out the door I shot this picture where one of my prints of the eclipse hangs.

Heading off the off-ramp from the highway and came to a stop to see the beautiful color of the sun and the sun behind the tree with snowflakes coming down.

And a fail. The sun had fallen over the horizon and I tried to capture this with a flashlight or a torch for my friends on the other side of the pond. Add to it I wasn't laying down on the ground for the shot.
