My wife and I just got the 7, too. I was happy with the 5, it was still working fine for me, but her's wouldn't hold a charge at all anymore. We got 128gb, too. I'm impressed with the image stabilization on the camera!

i had the iPhone 6 but the more I play with the 7 the more I like it. My wife bought me a Apple Watch and the two of those together are fantastic

Picked one of these up as well. They had a great price on it on B&H. It was less than 1/2 price. It just came today. I like it.

Picked up a "new to me" Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR 1
Been doing a lot of indoor shooting at churches and plan on getting out to some hockey games to play around. My Nikon 80-200 push pull was a bit slow IMO , and price was right on the 70-200.

Picked up one of those myself earlier this year - you will love it. From what I've learned the improvements with the lastest and greatest version is nice - but with my budget not anywhere near enough of an increase in value to justify the extra cost and the VR1 is still a stellar lens. Try it with a T.C. if you have one - works great with my Kenko 1.4

I'm not sure I would use it as I recently picked up a sigma 150-600 for my long reach photos. But getting it for no cost would be nice

Be fun to try the 2x on your big siggy if it is compatible. And the 70-200 + 2x is much more compact than the big siggy.
I have a Tammy 17-35k, it is my widest lens, Not sure about the one on offer but 17-50 is a nice range, extra wide to normal.

Did a families Christmas photos on weekend, was told they wanted to do mostly outdoors but did want to have some done indoors as they have a young child and the weather was quite cold. The wife said they didn't have anything nice for a background so I picked up a Savage Economy Backdrop kit on the way.
However it doesn't look like this out of the box... creases galore in backdrop itself from being folded up
After the shoot, a quick Google search said using a portable steamer is the best way to remove them, so that I did. Still not 100% satisfied... what is everyone else's opinion on muslin vs paper backdrops ?

HATE them with a passion ! I got one and could never get the creases out !!
I now have a Vinyl black and white backdrop and they are so much better for high key aswell as no creases !

Paper takes up a lot of space and still has concerns with creases. I've added a couple clamps at the top and bottom of the supports to pull the fabric backdrop tighter and reduce the creases. If I can position the subjects away from the backdrop, and use a longer lens to get the background blurred, it's less of a problem.

Computer was DOA. Would not boot up, Could not format and reload Windows. Even took it to the geek squad and they did no better. So broke down and bought a new desktop.
Intel i7 Quad Core processor,
1TB hard drive and 128GB solid state drive
Only 16GB of memory so will have to update that soon
taking the 1.5TB drive and the 128GB SSD out of the old computer and having them installed in the new computer
It presently has dual HDMI outputs so will see how it handles Lightroom and Photoshop to see if I need to pull the Video Card out and install it in the new computer.
I will probably use the second SSD drive just for Lightroom and Photoshop and put the catalog and scratch disk there.
If any of you have any suggestions on set up of this system please chime in.

Soo it turns out there is a slight defect with my Everyday Backpack from Peak Design, a small batch of the bags have soft anodizing on the maglatch ladders which mean they scratch up easily ...
Couple options were given to me, a replacement but that would mean sending the bag back, a $50 gift card or buy a new bag at a massive reduction. Normally $289, I can get another one for $185...
I already have a buyer lined up for my bag so gunna get another one !! I get to open up another PD bag soon, cant wait !!
