a small example of mixing ambient light with flash

I shot a small corporate event. the two in the photo are in charge of the food there. the first was just to see what it looked like, then realized the flash presence. I just lowered the shutter and might have lowered the flash a bit. manual flash bounced up. natural light coming in from their left is too contrasty and needs filling. here it didnt show except his left cheek.
first is a perfectly acceptable image. 2nd definitely looks better because of the natural looking light.



yea red thing is annoying needs to be cloned out. small issue.

thank you. you can also see that letting in more time with the shutter also let in the warmer color of the window light vs the flash
