Smartphotohut is the only one that has cheaper prices, otherwise it's only a few bucks different anywhere else. That's why I wonder what they're really selling, even if they're imports that don't have the same warranty, it sounds like they take your order and then offer to sell you the US thing for more money, I wonder if it's a scam.
In looking at their website I can tell you they are selling what is called "grey market" or "import" camera bodies and accessories. The reason Smartphotohut is so cheap is because the items they sell do not come with a Nikon warranty; they will sell you a warranty, as you see on their site but that warranty will be honored by Smartphotohut, not Nikon. Grey Market is not illegal. It's a great way to save a few bucks but you need to understand what you are getting and what you are NOT getting when you buy grey.

Smartphotohut will, most likely, try to contact you and sell you additional items and/or an extended warranty which you may or may not want. In my experience these sort of places are not pleasant to deal with and those without strong constitutions probably should avoid them. They're fast talking and high pressure. If you don't mind getting all up in their face and playing their game you can save some serious money but that is, most likely, the sort of shopping experience you are looking at should you decide to go this route. If you just want to buy something at a good price, worry free, then take the advice that's been given a few times now and shop at Amazon, B&H or Adorama.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their input. I ended up going through Amazon's Nikon "store" and getting the 700. I'm horrible with tech and after much deliberation, decided for that reason, I just needed the normal old normal with an easy to read manual. I'm excited to start using it. My next questions will be about good tutorials and also what do you use to set it up off camera? It looks like what I'm seeing on Amazon fits on a typical tripod.
Is that right? I just have one tripod and I also have umbrella/lightbulb kind of stands.

Take a stroll through the free lighting 101 tutorial at Strobist - it is a great resource and should be a first
stop as you venture toward Off Camera Flash (OCF) use :)

My first speedlight photo. :) On camera of course, since I didn't realize my little 3200 doesn't connect with off yet. blargh. And, I had to water this down to get it on here since it wouldn't accept full qual.
