On Friday 17th April 2015 the Randolph Hotel, located in Oxford's city centre, suffered from a serious fire. The fire is reported to have spread from the ground floor kitchens through an elevator shaft to upper levels then to the roof. Here during Saturday afternoon the damage to the roof was being assessed and photographed. Access to the roof area was via a truck mounted hydraulic platform.
