I must say, Scott, that although I am still using a D3100 and am a million light years away from your shots, you and many others on here have been a total inspiration to me and have pushed me ever more to outdo what I've already done. I couldn't have attempted half the shots I have if I hadn't had the support on here. A massive thanks to everyone.

Thats what brings us here, to learn and push each other in our passion for photography. I am glad that I can be of some help to others.

Great shots!

Were these shots taken handheld or with a tripod? I just ordered a macro lens so I'm trying to learn as much as I can before it arrives (tomorrow haha). Also, is a diffuser and flash a must for macro photography?

Thanks in advance!

All my photos are handheld.

Depending on the available light would be the deciding factor if a flash and diffuser was needed. In most of mine it does make a big difference.
