The texture of the paint on the wall behind the subject is distracting. Try using a sheet or something....or something brighter. Maybe bump up your white balance a bit. Try adjusting exposure too. A little more pp would help a lot.

Possibly just getting some distance between the ornament and the wall would allow depth of field to blur the wall so that the texture is not distracting. Would also eliminate the shadow on the wall.

Since we're critiquing...

I'd suggest cropping the shot more like what you see above. This crop moves the focal point off-center, keeps the subject looking in-frame and get rids of some of the dark mass that is unbalancing the shot overall. I also thought the top edge looked a little cramped so I added some headroom. Lastly I corrected the color and sharpened it a little but... Now I'm thinking I did too much sharpening.

Just my two-cents. :D
