I've always enjoyed photography. I realize there is so much for me to learn. I would like to improve and being critiqued has to be one of the best places to start. This is a great forum!

Very nice candid shot, not sure if it was from motion or if your focus was off a tad, eyes are soft and jacket front looks sharp, anyway nice shot, a keeper!

It is a good candid shot, it does bother me that her stance and attention is so far to the right. Gives me a bit of an unbalanced feel.

Thanks cnyram, to improve, should I have waited for the subject to center? Or not crop the image too tight on the right side?

Thank you WJYPhoto, I think I see what you mean. When I get in close on the threads of her jacket they are fairly sharp and the eyes, not so much. Not sure if it was focus or movement. But thanks, this gives me mental notes on things that I need to look for when I judge my own photos.

Sharp focused eyes are really important in any portrait shot.
