You have done some nice shots in the time i have been here but they must be two of the nicest

Thank you for your kind words Mike. This was pointed out to me by a guy with binoculars. I had trouble finding it, but once I spotted him... (you get the picture).

Thanks, Mike. No bother at all my friend. I'm getting a little more acquainted with the lens as I go. I was quite surprised that I got any results out of it considering the light yesterday. Not bad, IMHO.

On the shot above, it looks like you may have bumped up the clarity and maybe a touch of sharpening?

I never use clarity in elements as i dont like what it does.

Its been through High Pass sharpening 3 times as i find i can be more selective,first time the whole bird,with all the background sharpening erased,second time the background and the wing sharpening erased,third time only the head sharpened,i always run the eraser just onto the subjects edge to try to avoid edge problems.
I am only just learning this tool and normally only give it between 0.9 and 1.5 a pass with soft light blending.
