My Photosmith / Lightroom workflow

Hi all,

I finally had some time to test the "hybrid workflow" when importing and handling photos with Photosmith and Lightroom. I took about 160 photos today at my daughter's figure skating competition and I was able to import and rate the photos already at the scene. I imported the photos (JPEGS) to my iPad's Photosmith and did a rough rating of the pics. I wanted to edit and publish about 5-10 pics later today, so I wanted to select the best ones already in the Photosmith.

After I got back home I imported the RAW's to Lightroom, synced the metadata (ratings) from iPad and voilá, I had the TOP14 pics already filtered in my Lightroom Library. Then some editing, tweaking and finally exporting to Posterino for creating a photo collage.

I was also able to share couple of pics via iPad immediately after importing the photos to Photosmith, and this workflow really seems to work for my needs. I took me a while to fully understand the possibilities and how the workflow goes in practice, so I decided to document my process. Here it is, hopefully this helps someone who's is also wondering the same process:
