Post your Weather Rocks

OK. This is a manufactured weather rock, AKA a Weather Brick. Many of you may not be familiar with weather rocks, so here are some examples of how they work.


Basically, you place the Weather Rock where it will experience weather and then simply observe the rock (or brick).


They are 100% accurate.


I have added some text just to make clear each forecast/condition being observed.


Dry Weather

I have to say they are well exposed , sharp , and composition ? Not sure . I applaud your effort to get something out of nothing
.

Well. If the truth were told, there weren't no wind for the Wind Challenge, which triggered the brick on a rope project. Then there weren't no area big enough indoors for the fan shot. Since I was outside in the snow with a brick, figured might as well make the most of it.

If it keeps snowing, I may have to do a portrait series with a brick, to remain sane (as sane). They're a piece of cake to pose, but getting personality out of one is no easy task.

Yea, this is one instance when the rule of thirds were completely thrown out the window. I just hope the window was open at the time.

This is a Government Weather Rock. It is in a protected area, with a gate...that is locked at odd times. No apparent schedule. It will only be available for "hit and miss" weather conditions. Almost all weather conditions will be available at this Goverment Weather Rock Site, however. The National Weather Service could be using this, for all I know, which isn't much.

When I shot this image, the Rock was really wet. I knew then that it was raining, or had just rained. I then alertly noticed there was moisture appearing in drops on my lens, which was sticking out of my truck window. Confirmation. It *was* raining. I will try to check it now and then, maybe.

The only explanation I have for this post is Cabin Fever, probably.

Found a couple of reliable ones today.

This one appears to be saying the snow is melting.....
