Delaware River Photo Contest

My apology as I couldn't figure out how to post this in the Photo Contest sub-forum (no way to start a thread from what I could see).

A Facebook friend brought this contest to my attention, and I am wondering if there is any interest from other Nikonites? Possibly my Princeton Photowalk cohorts? @jdeg @Eduard or even @BackdoorHippie ... and anyone else who will be within the vicinity of the Delaware River and/or its tributaries. The contest runs 11/11/14 to 2/11/15. With the holiday lights, there might be some gorgeous shots waiting to be taken.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't have a lot of shots of the Delaware that would really qualify, and it's a tough time of year to shoot stuff like that. Plus I don't like sites (like the contest page) that require access to all of my FB information and my Friends list. I went to their regular site but there's no link to the contest there.

No problem, Jake. As for FB, my friends list is private so I doubt even my friends can see who's who. And I've never listed any personal info such as an address or phone number in my FB account. Too many reports of FB hacks to take that chance. But I fully understand your concern.

Would still like to see your take on it though! *insert cheesy grin here* :cheerful:

I've been meaning to get down to boat house row and/or the water works and art museum area. Although, they are fairly unoriginal places to take pics and it seems like this is more of a nature contest.

FYI, I've seen that photo contest app for Facebook before. It basically just makes your name and location, if you have that public, available to the admins of that group. For them, it's a way to get people to like their page.
