Thank you but it was easier than maybe expected. Since LR is unfamiliar to me, I'm still finding new stuff. I wondered what that little box was in the tone curve. When I clicked, I noticed it allowed me to adjust the individual RGB channels which makes color adjustments easier. I too use desaturate often. When using it on the background, the rest by contrast automatically looks better. A high-pass copy as vivid light blend in and that's it.

Flowers are great to experiment with. You can try about everything.

I did the same here with a previous shot. This is testing multiple high-pass overlays. Maybe that one bridge too far.

Very nice @aroy. Lately I have noticed , (mostly the last month) that your flower images are of a higher quality than usual. Did you change your shooting technique? (not saying you didn't have nice flower shots before).:)

The technique is same. I guess it is practice paying off, and of course getting to know the lense-camera combo better. I have also started using "Vivid" and sharpness of 6-7, that makes the colours come alive.
