Fishing Boat

I was at the port last week loading a ship with sunflower and saw this fishing boat at the pier. Since it is an iconic image from Greece, I wanted to share it with you. Any feedback perhaps?

It was easier to show you rather than tell you.

The composition is pretty much static since this is a moored ship. How-ever, if you have photoshop you may want to try and erase the tall structure at the stern of the wheelhouse.

Well, it's a lamp post (non-working of course, possible port budget cuts...), and I'm not that confident with my photoshop skills yet (I even forgot to raise the exposure) because it's crossing a cloud and any touch there would be obvious. :)

In that case, if you are able to walk further down the docking area and place the lamp post towards the center of the craft, so that its appearance melds into the rock wall.
That way, there would be absolutely no doubt that it is a separate structure apart from the ship. It will become part of the background and far less distracting. Either way, this is a really cool shot.
Just my humble opinion. :)

Actually it is pretty easy to remove things with PhotoShop. Using content aware fill I removed the top part of the post. Smudged the sky and clouds to make them appear correct. Spent about ten minutes. used clone on the rest of the post to remove it. fishing_ship.jpg

Well... I suppose a solution would be to cut the pole but I don't think that the Port Authority would agree with my artistic touches in the landscape... :p
