Need a free Nik alternative

Finally lost my free trial of nik,cant complain as i have had it running for about 6 months,dont want to spend any money until i decide what ime doing about long lenses,i use elements eleven is there any thing free out there that comes close to nik

Nothing comes close, particularly free. That said, some of the Color Efex Pro filters and functions are in onOne Perfect Effects 8 with is sometimes made available as a free download.

Thanks Jake,you reminded me i had already downloaded that when it was free but never bothered because i had Nik,i will be purchasing Nik as i like it but not at the moment

Have you had a look at Darktable its free but not sure if it can do what you are looking for. It does do lens corrections for long lenses.
Runs on Windows PC, Mac and Linux boxes.

Thanks Dave will have a look,i used Nik for noise control,contrast,and sharpening,plus the B/W,if i use elements on a raw file it looks good until i convert to Jpeg.

im a Darktable user and can recommend this program, however there is no official release for windows to my knowledge. Available for mac, linux, freebsd, solaris etc. darktable | the photo workflow software
