For those who are afraid of getting a D600, here is what it can do. Here I have 2 different shots (raw). I'll show the last shot first because it's the one taken with the flash.

So, the power of raw did literally save my image. This is such a great sensor with so much range. It's one of the best sensors on the market if you ask me.

That's a great point, thanks for posting the example.

You can also save really dark pictures if you change them to B&W. I've had to do that on a few otherwise great shots when the flash didn't fire. The color quality could not be saved, but everything looked okay (acceptable) in B&W with the levels boosted.
