Snowing in Alabama

Hoping I still have power at the end of the day! Already lost it for 4 days last week with that ice storm.

Hope you keep the lights on. We only lost it for a couple of hours in the ice but some people within 10 miles of here were out for 5 and 6 days.

Round one of the snowfall. This was overnight. Round 2 is due this afternoon with predictions of the same volume.

Neither my wife nor I are physically capable of operating a snow shovel. At times like these, we hunker down and watch the snow until our son can get out. He comes over once roads are clear and does a wonderful job for us. It usually takes the state about 48 hours to get to our little road so hunker we will do. Until then, we throw seeds on the deck and wait for visitors.

Well today is Saturday, and the forecast changed from 2" to 6-8". We just got 8" with ice on top Thursday night into Friday morning. I am tired of the winter scene I can tell 'ya. It's only 18 degrees out right now, so it makes it tough to go out to shoot photos, which is what I usually do on weekends. Now I am getting 'cabin fever'. Maybe in a couple of hours when it is supposed to warm up all the way to 30 today before the snow starts, I can get out to grab a few shots. You folks that live in a more temperate climate, I envy you.
