Painting

I promised a friend awhile ago to paint a sea turtle.. Years have passed and I am yet approached to paint the turtle. But I am not who I used to be and, I hide behind a lot of things. Maybe I can not paint what she want's. I have said acrylics as they dry quicker than oils. But I feel that I have or am losing who I am. Only way I get to relax is to enjoy a beer.... I think this is bad... And only I can change this.. It is pretty amazing that a simple thing can trigger such a feeling or response. Glad I have you guys and girls, I am no where near perfect and probably will never be.

I don't think people lose their good qualities. We may develop bad ones and have goodness repressed, but we are inherently the same person. You can overcome, I used to only be able to relax with 12 beers, change is good :)

I do think we lose where we are going and what we are.

Grab a hand full of beers and perch in front of a canvas. Put your best effort on the canvas and call it a day. As long as it's your best effort then no one can complain about the final result.

Ah thats the major thing, finding the drive to do what I find naturally to do. Beers and painting do not go hand in hand, painting takes more concentration than photography.
