There are a ton of eagles in Iowa anymore. One of the best spots is on the Iowa side of the Mississippi just below lock and dam 19 but you can find them pretty much any where there is open water this time of year. I have even seen them around small creeks near where I live.
I haven't been out with the Nikon's yet this winter since I am recovering from some fairly major surgery I had back in December but here are a couple of eagle shots that I took a couple of years ago near downtown Cedar Rapids. Hope nobody get's too upset about me posting images from an Olympus camera.
