I like the shot in #522, nothing distracting, looks good. The only complaint if this was a portrait would be the leash coming down over the girls stomach, so just something I am trying to work on myself and thats seeing the whole picture.

I wish, I love doing weddings, I noticed you have a nikon d7100, that is what I have been saving for, How do you like yours ? and how high can you get the iso in low light situations without getting a lot of noise ?
I am using a Nikon d3100 and sometimes I push it over the ISO and get way to much noise, but I still love the camera, it can do wonders.

I had a 5100 (still do!) and there is no comparison between the 2 as far as noise, ease and speed of use (once you learn the controls). I have shot some subjects as high as 6400 with acceptability. Again, some of it is your "tolerance" for the noise :) Proper exposure and composing in the camera will help a lot. Most of the high noise really jumps out if you underexpose and then increase exp in post and of course heavy cropping...

I love my 7100 and I suspect you will not regret it when you get yours. :)

thanks for your reply, I can't wait to get the 7100.

Just remember, it is not a cure all... your basic vision, composition and lighting understanding will not be any different so overall your pictures will be similar to what you take now, all things considered. I fiind it faster to change settings via the buttons rather than the menus, it seems to focus faster on moving subjects, 2 cards, focus motor etc... It is better in ISO but if you do not expose and compose correctly, you may not see the improvement you expect. Remember, it is not a Magic wand! :)
