Times do change

This popped up on Facebook today and I thought I'd share it here. This was from Southern California in the early 70's.

Even with these low prices I remember that it was still cheaper to go buy groceries to feed a family than to try and feed a family there.

When i where young :D i could go out with five shillings get drunk, buy a packet of cigs, fish and chips on the way home and have enough left for my bus fare to work the next day.

We use that as a joke but its not far from the truth, five shillings is now 25p,oh how things change

If groceries were still cheaper than the dollar menu... America wouldn't be so fat. haha. Pretty crazy. I also saw someone on here post something about a memory card from the 90's that had something like 256mb for around 100$. lol. That's also crazy.

And let's not talk about car prices or gaz prices... A friend of mine got a honda civic in the 70s for $1,999.00. And I remember getting gaz at $0.68/canadian gallon (5litres).
