Vivitar 200mm Telephoto Lens

I am trying to sell my old gear to fund my new toys.

This is one of the lenses I am trying to sell and have been told (very kindly) on the auction that I could probably buy an adaptor for about $30.00 and it would work on my DSLR.

Is this true, is it worth doing and if so where do I buy one from?



I also have a 28 mm wide angle with the same fitting

If it would work and the results worth it I could save a lot of money

You'll need one of these T-2 Adapter Rings or something similar. I've never used one before personally, so I can't say how well they work. I'd expect you'll lose auto-focus and probably metering, though... Still, for $20 what the hell, eh?

Thanks Fish. For $20.00 that is exactly what I thought. Yes auto focus would be lost for sure.

The thing is to sell it I get next to nothing for it.

Yeah, those old vivvie's don't command much on the open market.

Just seeing it takes me back the days of my Pentax K1000 and my Minolta XGM. Gawd, that Pentax was a TANK!
