I think the concept is fine but they look out of focus to me.

What Geoff said. Out of focus images are "almost" shots. Nice concept, nice try, not so nice result.

I also like the concept but I would like to see the ball dropped from directly above. The slight leaning of the glass in the first picture seems distracting to me. Is the lens cap present for a purpose?
