Crayola Cry-ons

I finished this piece right at eight this morning.

I felt the need to step away from painting and try to expand my artistic horizons.

The canvas is actually a nine by twelve stretched linen on a handmade stretcher with acrylic background and wax Crayola crayons.

This is easy to do but expressive as hell!

How can you like all of it? Did you see those s_itty colors?

The fellow, I think was upset because I once suggested a colour adjustment to get closer
to natural rendition… I think!

I answered that all master pieces are not all coming from a same creator and that beauty
is in diversity!

The word play is funny (Cry-ons) and the colours are what one may expect. Retouching
is not necessary… could be but… This is called author's privilege!

Some of you may remember when I posted this piece back in August. I gave this to my sister in law
for her birthday. Her grandson, who is now six brought my artistic ego back to reality. His comment
was...

"Waste of good crayons!"
You gotta love the honesty.
